John E. Boyer
John E. Boyer, Jr. is an Associate Professor of Manufacturing Engineering Technology at Weber State University. He taught various classes related to mechanics, materials, design, and control during his tenure from September 1981 to August 1988. Boyer was known for integrating personal computer applications into the curriculum, including simulation and ERP programs. He was actively involved in student activities and sports, serving as a student-athlete tutor and being a season ticket holder for football and basketball. Boyer also played a key role in a NASA Space Shuttle project, where Weber State students participated in designing and launching a satellite. Despite leaving for industry opportunities, Boyer remains connected to Weber State and values his time at the university.
