Dr. Amy Billone
Amy Billone is a Professor in the Department of English at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. Her expertise lies in 19th-century literature, children’s/YA literature, and creative writing. Billone has authored several books and poetry collections, including "Little Songs: Women, Silence, and the Nineteenth-Century Sonnet" and "The Future of the Nineteenth-Century Dream-Child." She is known for her teaching of courses on Fairy Tales and Fantasy to Cyberspace in the English department. Billone holds a BA from the University of Chicago and an MA and PhD from Princeton University. She has received various awards and honors for her work, including the Kirkus Starred Review and Best Books of 2013 for her poetry collection "The Light Changes." Billone is actively involved in professional service within the university, serving on various committees and contributing to academic publications.
