John Roberts, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of Clinical Training in the Department of Psychology at the University at Buffalo. His research interests focus on psychosocial processes related to the risk for depression, including vulnerable self-esteem, rumination, and overgeneral autobiographical memory. Dr. Roberts and his lab are investigating the impact of various psychosocial and environmental factors on mental health outcomes, such as extreme heat, air pollution, and urban green space. Their goal is to enhance understanding of the psychological and environmental influences on depression to develop more effective treatment and prevention interventions.
