

Kyle Jensen
Professor Kyle Jensen is applying his expertise to address challenges in the fields of lighting design, sound design, and production management at Valdosta State University. As an Assistant Professor specializing in Lighting & Sound, he brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to his students and colleagues. Kyle holds a Master of Fine Arts in Sound Design from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Arts with an emphasis in Design/Technology from California State University, Fresno. Before joining the faculty at Valdosta State University, Kyle honed his skills as a Production Electrician & Sound Engineer at Texas Tech University. His career has been marked by a variety of roles in sound design and production management, allowing him to develop a comprehensive understanding of the technical and creative aspects of theatre production. His impressive portfolio includes sound design credits for notable productions such as The Sound of Music, Mamma Mia!, and La Cage Aux Folles. Kyle's work has not gone unnoticed, as he has received multiple awards recognizing his contributions to the field of sound design. His dedication to his craft is further demonstrated by his active involvement in professional organizations such as the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and the Theatrical Sound Designers and Composers Association (TSDCA). These affiliations keep him at the forefront of industry developments and provide valuable networking opportunities.
