Dr. Adrian Rafael Duran is a Professor of Art History in the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Nebraska, Omaha. He earned his BA in Art History from the University of Notre Dame and his MA and PhD in Art History from the University of Delaware. His research focuses on mid-20th century painting and sculpture in Italy, international abstraction during the 1940s and '50s, art criticism, and contemporary photography and New Media practices. He has taught courses on 19th, 20th, and 21st century art, art theory, and criticism, and is also affiliated with the Goldstein Center for Human Rights, Medical Humanities, and the Office of Latino/Latin American Studies.
