John Dunn

John Dunn is a Visiting Assistant Professor in Education and Human Rights at the University of Connecticut. He specializes in modern European history, particularly France, with research interests in imperialism and decolonization, historical memory, migration, European multiculturalism, and history pedagogy. Dunn believes in the power of education to promote social justice and develop critical democratic citizens. Prior to joining UConn, he taught at Michigan State University and held positions at Emory University, Clark Atlanta University, and Clayton State University. He received his Ph.D. in History from Emory University and his B.A. in History and Political Science from the University of Richmond.
