Dr. Kyle Horst applies his expertise to solve challenges in the realm of psychological health and interpersonal relationships. As an Associate Professor in the Psychology Department at California State University-Chico, he is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of complex issues such as Intimate Partner Violence (IPV) and Family Violence. Dr. Horst earned his PhD from Kansas State University in 2013, where he developed a strong foundation in psychological research and therapeutic practices. His research interests are diverse yet interconnected, focusing on areas such as the treatment and prevention of IPV, Couples Therapy, and Interpersonal Conflict. Dr. Horst is particularly interested in the role of Mindfulness and Mindfulness-Based Interventions in promoting psychological well-being and resolving interpersonal issues.
