Dr. Anthony Michael Cross
Dr. Anthony Michael Cross is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Texas State University. His research interests lie in aesthetics and ethics, particularly the ethical implications of relationships with artworks and cultural objects. Cross earned his Ph.D. in Philosophy from Princeton University, where he studied under Alexander Nehamas and Michael Smith, and holds a B.A. in Philosophy from Duke University, where he was a Phi Beta Kappa recipient. His notable scholarly works include publications in the Oxford Handbook of Ethics and Art, Philosopher's Imprint, Ergo: An Open Access Journal of Philosophy, British Journal of Aesthetics, and Estetika. Beyond his research, Cross is actively involved in academic service, serving as a Graduate Advisor for the MAAPE Program, Chair of the Graduate Faculty Working Group, and Reviewer/Referee for several prestigious philosophy journals.
