Dr. Alejandro Flores-Arocha, an Adjunct Professor of Environmental Science at UIW, is an experienced Systems Engineer, Ecosystem Ecologist, and Environmental Manager with a passion for exploring and analyzing cities. Holding a B.S. from the Monterrey Institute of Technology, an M.S. from the University of California (Davis), and a Ph.D. from Yale University, Dr. Flores-Arocha is particularly interested in studying settlements in Mexico, including his hometown of Monterrey and his current residence in Cuatro Cienegas. Through his background in entrepreneurship and management, as well as his academic pursuits, Dr. Flores-Arocha aims to improve the vitality, resilience, and sustainability of urban areas.
