John Erwin
John A. (Alex) Erwin is an Assistant Professor at the College of Law at Florida International University. He earned his J.D. from the University of Arizona, where he specialized in Environmental Law, Science, and Policy. Before joining FIU, he taught at the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University. Additionally, he holds a B.S. in Biology and Biochemistry from Washington and Lee University and a Ph.D. in Genetics from the University of Arizona. His research interests include environmental law, natural resources law, wildlife conservation and management, genetic engineering, and the interplay between science, law, and policy. His articles have been published in journals such as Cornell Law Review and the Environmental Law Reporter, and he has been recognized with an Honorable Mention in the Environmental Law and Policy Annual Review (ELPAR).
