John Eck
John Eck is a Teaching Professor and the Degree Program Coordinator for Architectural Studies in the Science and Engineering Department at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Kansas State University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia. With over two decades of experience in both commercial and residential architectural projects in Kansas City and Chicago, Eck specializes in building materials and assembly, particularly in the foundation curriculum. In addition to UMKC, he has taught at Kansas State University and the University of Illinois/Chicago. He also maintains an art studio in Kansas City, where he focuses on hand-built ceramics, primarily in studies of archetypal architectural forms.
