Dr. Jinjun Liu is an esteemed Associate Professor of Chemistry and an Adjunct Professor of Physics at the University of Louisville. With a robust academic foundation, he completed his Bachelor of Science degree at East China Normal University in 1999, followed by a Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in 2007. His academic journey included significant postdoctoral research stints at the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology and The Ohio State University, which enriched his expertise in the field of chemistry. Dr. Liu's research is primarily focused on the intricate world of ultrafast spectroscopy, with a keen interest in gas-phase molecules and condensed-phase materials. His work leverages both frequency and time domain ultrafast laser systems to explore and understand the complexities of molecular structures and dynamics. Through his innovative spectroscopic techniques, Dr. Liu has made significant contributions to the detection and characterization of reactive chemical intermediates, such as free radicals, and molecules in excited electronic states.
