With a B.A. from the College of the Holy Cross and a Ph.D. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Dr. Miranda has been a pivotal figure at CSU since joining the faculty in 1982. Throughout his tenure, Dr. Miranda has held numerous influential positions, demonstrating his leadership and commitment to advancing the university's mission. He has served as Chair of the Department of Mathematics, where he played a crucial role in enhancing the department's academic offerings and research capabilities. His leadership extended to the College of Natural Sciences, where he served as Dean, focusing on interdisciplinary collaboration and student success. Dr. Miranda's administrative acumen was further recognized when he was appointed Provost and Executive Vice President, roles in which he oversaw academic policies and initiatives across the university. His strategic vision and dedication to academic excellence were instrumental in his subsequent appointment as System Chief Academic Officer, where he worked to align the academic goals of the CSU system.
