Fostering collaboration across sectors to enhance the understanding of Chinese culture and language, Jinhui Wu is a Visiting Professor of Chinese and Humanities at Reed College. With a robust academic background, she holds an M.A. in Chinese Language and Civilization from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Ph.D. in East Asian Studies from the University of Arizona. Her scholarly pursuits are deeply rooted in early modern Chinese religious literature, exploring its rich intersections with historiography, vernacular literature, ritual practices, and print culture. Professor Wu's research is not confined to traditional boundaries; she is actively engaged in translation studies and digital humanities, reflecting her commitment to integrating modern methodologies with classical studies. Her work in Chinese language and culture pedagogy underscores her dedication to fostering a comprehensive understanding of Chinese cultural narratives and linguistic nuances. Before her tenure at Reed College, Professor Wu imparted her knowledge and expertise at Lafayette College, the University of Colorado Boulder, and the University of Arizona.
