Kyle Adams is a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Physical Therapy at Baylor University, where he brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his role. He embarked on his academic journey at SUNY Upstate Medical University, earning a Master of Physical Therapy in 2001, followed by a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2008. His commitment to professional development is evident through his attainment of a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist certification in 2004 and board certification in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy in 2005. Further enhancing his skills, he completed a fellowship in manual therapy through Evidence in Motion in 2011. Currently, Kyle is pursuing a Doctor of Science in Physical Therapy (DSc PT) at Bellin College in Green Bay, WI, demonstrating his dedication to lifelong learning and advancement in the field. Before joining Baylor University, he gained extensive clinical experience as a full-time clinician in outpatient orthopedic private practices. His leadership abilities were showcased as he directed an orthopedic residency and spine fellowship program, where he played a pivotal role in shaping future practitioners. In addition to his clinical work, Kyle has contributed to academia as an adjunct faculty member at various entry-level physical therapy programs, as well as teaching post-professional courses. His research interests are diverse and include educational research, manual therapy instruction, musculoskeletal examination and treatment, biophysical agents, pain sciences, and promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion within the field. Kyle's scholarly contributions are noteworthy, having recently secured his first grant related to educational research. He has also authored a book chapter, presented his findings at national conferences, and published several manuscripts, reflecting his commitment to advancing knowledge and practice in physical therapy. His multifaceted expertise and dedication to both teaching and research make him a valuable asset to the Baylor University community and the broader field of physical therapy.
