Professor Finbarr McCarthy is an esteemed Associate Professor of Law at Temple Law School, renowned for his expertise in property, corporations, trusts and estates, and professional responsibility. Originally hailing from Ireland, Professor McCarthy brings a rich and diverse educational background to his role. He earned his B.A. Mod. from Trinity College Dublin, followed by a Ph.D. in American Literature, and later completed his J.D. at Tulane University. Before embarking on his academic career at Temple in 1991, Professor McCarthy gained valuable experience working as an inspector of taxes for Ireland's internal revenue service. His journey in the legal field continued as he served as a Bigelow Teaching Fellow and Lecturer in Law at the University of Chicago Law School. Additionally, he had the privilege of clerking for Judge Jacques L. Wiener, Jr. of the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, which further honed his legal acumen.
