Professor Jim Tolisano is making strides in research on environmental policy, strategic planning, and sustainable finance. With over 30 years of experience, he has established himself as a leading figure in the field of natural resource and biodiversity conservation. As the Director of Innovations at Conservation LLC, Jim has been instrumental in designing and implementing conservation projects across more than 40 countries. His work is characterized by a strong emphasis on integrating nature conservation with sustainable finance and strategic planning, fostering collaboration among rural communities, businesses, donors, and investors. Jim's expertise extends beyond his role at Conservation LLC. He serves as a senior advisor to the IUCN Conservation Finance Incubator, where he contributes to the development of innovative financial solutions for conservation projects. His technical acumen is further recognized through his position as a technical advisor to the Caribbean Marine Science and Policy Association, where he provides guidance on marine conservation strategies. In addition to his professional endeavors, Jim is dedicated to academia as an adjunct professor of Environmental and Interdisciplinary Studies at New York University. He imparts his extensive knowledge to students through both introductory and advanced courses in conservation biology and finance.
