Jingqiu Chen

Jingqiu Chen advocates for research-driven practices in the realm of environmental engineering and data science. As a courtesy professor at the FAMU-FSU College of Engineering and an assistant professor of biological systems engineering at FAMU, he brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to his students and colleagues. Dr. Chen earned his Ph.D. from Purdue University, where he honed his skills in environmental and natural resources engineering. Prior to that, he completed his M.S. with honors at Nanjing Agricultural University, following a B.S. with honors from the same institution. Dr. Chen's research interests are diverse and interdisciplinary, focusing on the integration of data science and digital agriculture to promote sustainable practices. His work in green infrastructure and urban sustainability aims to develop innovative solutions for modern environmental challenges. He is particularly interested in the application of web-based technologies to enhance hydrological, agricultural, and ecological research and education. Through his research, Dr. Chen seeks to bridge the gap between traditional engineering practices and cutting-edge digital tools, fostering a more sustainable and resilient future.
