Rip Hale

Contributing to thought leadership in the field of ocean and earth sciences, Dr. Rip Hale serves as an Assistant Professor and Chief Departmental Advisor at Old Dominion University. With a robust academic background, he earned his Ph.D. in geological oceanography from the University of Washington in 2014. Following his doctoral studies, Dr. Hale further honed his expertise through a postdoctoral fellowship at Vanderbilt University, which he completed in 2016 before joining the faculty at ODU.
