Professor at Materials Engineering, Purdue University0 Followers
John E. Blendell joined Purdue University in 2005 as a Professor of Materials Engineering. Before that, he held the position of Materials Research Engineer at the National Institute of Standards and Technology from 1983 to 2005. Dr. Blendell earned undergraduate degrees in Ceramic Science and Mathematics from Alfred University in 1974. He then pursued graduate studies at MIT, receiving an MS in Ceramics in 1976 and a Sc.D. in Ceramics in 1979. His research interests include microstructure design for optimal properties, grain growth in partially faceted systems, processing of Low Temperature Co-Fired Ceramic (LTCC) substrates, and ferroelectric thin film.
