Dr. Flora Janet Nankhuni leads impactful research in the fields of agriculture, food security, and nutrition policy processes at Michigan State University. As a fixed-term associate professor in the Department of Agricultural, Food and Resource Economics, she brings a wealth of experience and expertise to her role. Her academic journey began with a BS from the University of Malawi, followed by an MS and a Ph.D. from Pennsylvania State University, equipping her with a strong foundation in international development and policy analysis. Before joining Michigan State University, Dr. Nankhuni amassed a diverse range of experiences working with prestigious organizations. Her tenure at the World Bank's Independent Evaluation Group and the International Finance Corporation provided her with invaluable insights into global development challenges. Additionally, her work with the Poverty Reduction and Economic Management units of the World Bank and the Independent Evaluation Arrangement of the CGIAR further honed her skills in evaluating and shaping impactful policies.
