Jeffrey A. Brunelli

Dr. Jeffrey A. Brunelli is expanding horizons in the field of Orthopaedic Sports Medicine and Surgery as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Rehabilitation at the College of Medicine – Jacksonville, University of Florida. With a robust background in orthopaedic surgery, Dr. Brunelli is dedicated to advancing the understanding and treatment of sports-related injuries and conditions. His expertise spans a wide array of specialties, including meniscal transplants, arthroscopic procedures, ligament and tendon repair, orthobiologics, and knee replacements. Dr. Brunelli's academic journey began at the University of Louisville School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree in 2006. His passion for orthopaedics led him to the Atlanta Medical Center, where he completed his Orthopaedic Surgery Residency in 2011. His commitment to furthering his expertise in sports medicine took him to the University of Colorado School of Medicine, where he completed a fellowship in Orthopaedic Sports Medicine in 2012. Board-certified in both Orthopaedic Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, Dr. Brunelli is recognized for his innovative approach to treating complex sports injuries. His research interests are deeply rooted in the development of advanced techniques for tendon and ligament repair, as well as the application of orthobiologics to enhance healing and recovery. He is particularly focused on improving outcomes for patients undergoing knee replacements and meniscal transplants. Dr. Brunelli is actively involved in clinical research, aiming to translate scientific discoveries into practical applications that benefit patients. His work in arthroscopic procedures and realignment osteotomies of the knee is paving the way for less invasive and more effective treatment options.
