Dr. Kyena Cornelius is expanding horizons in the field of special education as a Clinical Associate Professor at the School of Special Education, School Psychology, and Early Childhood Studies at the University of Florida. With a deep commitment to enhancing educational practices, her research interests are centered around curriculum development, inclusive education, and professional development. Dr. Cornelius is dedicated to creating educational environments that cater to diverse learning needs, ensuring that all students have access to quality education. Before her tenure at the University of Florida, Dr. Cornelius made significant contributions at Minnesota State University, Mankato. There, she was instrumental in preparing future special education teachers and played a pivotal role as the College of Education Accreditation Coordinator. Her work at Mankato was marked by a focus on developing robust educational frameworks that support both educators and students in achieving their full potential. Dr. Cornelius is actively involved in several national organizations, reflecting her commitment to advancing the field of special education on a broader scale.
